Give onto Caesar what is Caesar’s has been the refrain used for countless generations of people obsessed with money. All most from the beginning of time compensation for one’s efforts has been the prime motive behind most if not all of our efforts. Only occasionally would some people not expect payment for their time and efforts spent.
Even in those cases a person could hope that his or her good deeds were being tallied in heaven and was evening out the balance of judgment or hopefully tilting it toward the righteous and worthy side of the scale.
Unfortunately, the world has never been fair and payment for services or accumulation of wealth based on value and worth has never been in the favor of the deserving but rather in favor of the greedy, perverse, and powerful.
The advent of unions came about because of the disparity of pay and profit. It has been jokingly put forward that the rich, to keep the poor happy in their destitute condition, invented religion.
Even as late as the early 21 century legislation was constantly being considered and passed as measures of equity in pay and redistributing the wealth through taxation. Try as they might to equalize the compensation and instill equity in outcome there was one major flaw in the system that could never be erased an that was reliance upon money as the symbol of personal and collective value.
It took the economic collapse in early 21 century to reset the world’s order and because of the increasing popularity of alternative standards of value available through the Internet when people found themselves bartering for goods and services a person’s Internet ranking was gradually substituted for actual credit.
Because the ranking was a composite score arrived at through various means its value gained in acceptance and with each trustworthiness algorithm implementation into the global mind a person’s Internet rank soon became his or her accepted value to society. No longer were people tied to an artificial symbol that could be manipulated and accumulated by deceit and dishonesty. Instead a person’s value became attached to their value to society. People who actually produced things and provided honest services were more highly valued than people who didn’t. People who worked at the most disgusting but vitally important tasks, for societies well being, were deemed more valuable than a person who worked at the least disgusting and least important task for societies entertainment. People who lie, cheat, and deceive were easily found out and dismissed as scoundrels and charlatans. Career politicians, money mongers, purveyors of punditry, and welfare cheaters were dispensed with and relegated to the ash heap of history.
You could still be a garbage collector if you wanted or a movie star if desired but your value was dependent not on perceived or contrived value but on your intrinsic value.
The world was turned upside down. The best and brightest now aspired to be of actual service to society rather than seduced into the world of make believe and perception is everything gang.
However as innovation proceeded and fewer disgusting jobs were available to earth’s inhabitants the value scale shifted to those who were of service to there fellow inhabitants. Recreation and leisure time were abundant almost too much so. With too much idle time a human is not inclined to seek after the good, the better, or the best but the bad, the worse, and the worst.
In the world of the past and even in some locales today deceit and disguise and debauchery succeeded because there was no and still remains today, in some locations, no transparency, no illumination of the facts, no exposure of the truth to dissuade the wise, the tentative, or the informed from participating or going along.
In those remote or discordant outposts of libertarian mindsets and independent behavior a person is free to do whatever he or she wants as long as it somehow does not harm another. However, the enforcement has always been an issue because perception and practice have always been at odds.
In those remote and discordant outposts of communist adherence where the more equal dictate to the equal and the useful morons become less enamored by the inadequate supplies of free stuff there is a feeling of unhappiness and some resentment toward the leadership when visas became hard to get and outside influences were censored and blocked.
With boredom and debauchery to deal with the organic programmers began to devise slowly but with ever increasing competence programs, which engaged the user and facilitated their participation in education, public service, and environmental consciousness. The interesting thing about education is the fact that there are a very limited number of absolutes.
There is always a number of ways to proverbially “skin a cat” and because need is the mother of invention the global mind recognized the benefits of scarcity and the benevolence of sacrifice. Some of it was imposed naturally because natural inorganic resources were in limited supply and many renewable organic resources were depleted nearly beyond recovery. While other initiatives were agreed to by each societal enclave in their own fashion.
As in the past the inequity in the earth’s make up posed a real problem for the global mind because of human nature and the actual cost of distributing a desired but scarce or site specific resource world wide.
Compensation, greed, and selfishness rears its ugly head and bartered goods or self-sacrifice is limited in both circumstances. The concept of consecration was resident in religion but largely ignored in the time of cash. Benevolent dictators were far and few between and were subject to dying. The global mind needed to rectify the discrepancies and disparities.
