Follow four people’s lives from early in their lives to adulthood and from undeveloped to developed. One descending from affluence and opportunity. The other ascending from poverty and deprivation. one starting in the developed world the other starting the third world. Each passing or paralleling the other along their way to the opposite. Each chapter would be an event in their lives which also illustrates a circumstance of the society they live in. There are additional characters that represent ideals and attitudes of a world transitioning from chaos to order, from selfish to selfless, from ignorance to enlightened, and from glutton to steward. There are situations and circumstances that illustrate the variety of natures in the future. The time is when technology is omnipresent, the computer network is omniscient, and social orders are omnipotent in their utilization of resources but prescriptive in their supply creating value and imposing accountability. Responsibility is attributable and information is pure, accessible, and relative to the individual’s need. Remote sensing and predictive algorithms inform and alert both the individual and their mentors. It reports a persons character, estimates their propensities, and calculates their social and personal value. Societies are discriminating but not discriminatory. Individuals have agency, responsibility, and accountability because the global mind collects, aggregates, filters, and reports our every response, action, and preference. The world stays diverse while the uniqueness of individuals is finite but protected by the global mind and the power of the human spirit.
The world is full of people and its development is inequitable even unfair but the human spirit thrives. Even though man’s nature is contrary and selfish his spirit is obedient and selfless. As technology advanced and infused itself into the human condition the minds of men and women grasped the possibility and the world became a better place. Not only was there room for the naturalist but the actions of the technologist harmonized with the rhythms of the life. Instead of subjecting the planet and its inhabitants lives and times of each person reflected the importance of the other and the necessity of being stewards of the planet and mentors of each generation.
